There are hundreds of thousands of tattoo pictures online. Maybe millions. But with this rise in popularity, it's getting even harder than ever to tell the difference between a quality piece of art and a piece that will fade into a black smudge. Learn to tell the difference now so you don't have to learn the lesson the hard way.

HIGH QUALITY PHOTOS ONLY. NO FILTERS. This includes no Instagram! You can’t see a lot of important details if you add things like artificial sepia or “vintage” filters. If I can’t make out the details in the lines, I can’t talk about it.
TATTOOS ONLY. Do not submit photos of images you want to get tattooed on you, or personal questions that don’t benefit others. I don’t have time to answer them all. Use the resources on this blog to gauge for yourself.
PLEASE DO NOT RESUBMIT or ask when you’ll see your tattoo posted. My queue has a few days wait and not all submitted photos can be critiqued. There’s just not enough time for everything. Sorry!
Please do not post a tattoo that isn’t in your body or that you didn’t tattoo. Also, please credit the artist for people who are interested!
