This photo is from May, day it was finished (3 sessions, 5.5 hrs total). I wasn’t sure about leaving the head of the eagle not white, but I really like the whole soft tone of the piece.
If my second image doesn’t work, here’s the link for it as of August (the light in the photo makes it look a bit light, but it hasn’t faded).


I maybe stalk Elize’s FB a bit and I liked this when she first posted it but this looks SO GOOD healed. Great use of white. It looked so pink in the photo when she first posted it I was a little overwhelmed by the pinks but they’re so subtle now. GAHHHHH
Really, the texture in the different feathers is an awesome example of how you can strike a nice balance between smooth and thick texture. It’s very subtle but interesting.
Also her colors are so perfect. Every time.
And the composition is just genious.
I’m posting it right away because goddamnnnnnn (a) Elize (b) ya’ll gotta start a critink fundraiser so I can finally have her finish the last few inches of my arm…
