There are hundreds of thousands of tattoo pictures online. Maybe millions. But with this rise in popularity, it's getting even harder than ever to tell the difference between a quality piece of art and a piece that will fade into a black smudge. Learn to tell the difference now so you don't have to learn the lesson the hard way.


I got this almost a year ago. It holds a lot of meaning to me, but it seems a bit bland and I was thinking about adding something. What do you think? Google “flower clip art” or ask any elementary schooler to draw you a flower. What will it look like? One flower, two leaves, roughly the same size. It’s just unimaginative. Same with the brain: it’s just very literal. Here’s what this could have been: Or whatever. You get the idea. I’d bring it to an artist who does a lot of flower tattoos (and does them well) to see what they think. If you want to add more I think it’s going to be rough since the flower is so solidly colored in and the brain is so dark.
