The last authentic Haida tattoo kit left.

Housed at the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of Natural History. The set was collected by James G. Swan during his time with the Haida people.

The set contains: 5 cedar poking tools, a lump of magnetite (used as pigment), 4 carved brushes and a bowl used to mix the pigment.
